Who should be NFL Offensive Rookie of the year?

When it comes to recent rookies in the NFL, there are not a lot of players who stand out like Odell Beckham Jr. did last year.  Labeled the only rookie to “run the entire route tree” by Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman, he only played in 12 games!  He fended off Mike Evans, from the Buccaneers, and some Guard named Zack Martin, from the Cowboys, in the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the year voting.  It was not even close. Beckham got 42 votes, Zack Martin got 7, Mike Evans 1.  Personally, I am not sure why a guard was even in the running, but as a former linemen in the NFL I am proud that he represented all fat guys so well.

Back to rookies.  There is a player, named Thomas Rawls, that is making some waves.  He has been filling in for “Beast Mode” most of the year and he is balling.

He has only started 5 games so far this year and he is already in the top ten of rushing.  What’s more impressive is this:  he is the first player in NFL history with more than 250 yards, a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in the same game.  History!  Can you say #FIRE!  I love watching Marshawn running the pill so at worst, the Seahawks have a stable in the barn they can count on.  Not sure if he will end up as rookie of the year, considering the other young players that are emerging (Amari Cooper, Jameis Winston, Todd Gurley, etc) but he just outplayed Adrian Petersen so you never know.

Breaking Fantasy Football News: RB Mark Ingram out

Red-hot New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is out the next month with a hand injury sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns.  Ingram has averaged almost 6 yards per carry in the best start of his struggling career but the injury is a major setback for the one-time Heisman Trophy winner.

Analysis:  Get ready for an increased dose of the talented but underutilized Khriy Robinson.  Pierre Thomas remains strictly a third-down guy who will catch passes in the high-powered Saints offense but Robinson has some interesting value while Ingram is out.
