Andre Johnson said he signed with the Colts because he felt like Indianapolis gave him the best chance to win a Super Bowl and at least one Nevada sportsbook agrees with him that Indy has the best chance.

At the MGM Sportsbook in Las Vegas, the Colts have been pegged as the favorites to win Super Bowl 50. MGM must have been listening in on the phone call Johnson had with Frank Gore this week.

“After I got released by the Texans, Frank called me,” Johnson said, via “He called me right after it happened and was just like, ‘What are you gonna do?’ I’m like, ‘Frank, I don’t know. I just got released. I don’t know.’ I asked, him ‘Who do you think has the best chance to win a Super Bowl?’ And he was like, ‘Indy.’ And I was like, ‘That’s my same choice too so let’s do it, let’s go for it.’ And they were able to get both of us here.”

The Colts odds improved after Indy went crazy during the first three days of free agency, signing Gore, Trent Cole, Kendall Langford, Todd Herremans and Johnson. Those five players will join a team that only came up one game short from playing in Super Bowl XLIX.

Before free agency started, the Colts had 14-1 to 12-1 odds at most Vegas sportsbooks.

It’s also possible that the MGM really, really liked the fact the Colts dumped Trent Richardson on Thursday.

Overall, the five top favorites to win Super Bowl 50 at the MGM book are the Colts (5-1), Seahawks (11-2), Packers (11-2), Patriots (6-1) and Cowboys (8-1), according to the odds obtained by

Just because the Colts are the favorites at the MGM doesn’t mean they’re the favorite everywhere though.

The Seahawks and Patriots are 6-1 co-favorites to win Super Bowl 50 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, while the Seahawks and Packers are 6-1 co-favorites at William Hill.

At Bovada, the Seahawks are the sole favorite to win Super Bowl 50 with 5-1 odds. The Colts have 9-1 odds at Bovada, an improvement from the 14-1 odds they faced before free agency started.

If you’re now wondering who the longest longshot is, the answer to that questions is Jacksonville and Tennessee. Both teams are facing 200-1 odds to win Super Bowl 50.

One of the most notable drop in odds hit the 49ers, who were listed at 16-1 in February, but have since dropped to 33-1.

Next season’s Super Bowl will be played on Feb. 7, 2016, and televised by CBS from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
