After six games it is time to start seriously talking about Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray for NFL MVP.
That sounds strange to say — DeMarco Murray for MVP. But that’s how bizarre this season has been for the Cowboys, in comparison to what we expected out of them six weeks ago.
Murray became the second back in NFL history to rush for 100 yards in each of his first six games of a season on Sunday. The other back? Jim Brown. The legendary Cleveland Browns back did it back in 1958. If you’re curious, yes, Brown was the NFL MVP in 1958.
