The Minnesota Vikings announced running back [autotag]Adrian Peterson[/autotag] was placed on the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission list Wednesday, Sept. 17, which will keep him away from the team indefinitely.
In the latest twist to this ongoing situation, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf felt it was in the best interest of the team to remove Peterson from the equation until his legal situation plays out, presumably in full.
From the Vikings’ statement released Wednesday morning,
“This has been an ongoing and deliberate process since last Friday’s news. In conversations with the NFL over the last two days, the Vikings advised the League of the team’s decision to revisit the situation regarding Adrian Peterson.
